Chucho Valdés Bayfront Jazz Festival 2021 Miami, 2021 Directed by Amos Rozenberg The 2021 inaugural edition of the Bayfront Jazz Festival takes place in Miami's Bayfront Park. The festival's mission is to honor and celebrate the current and future giants of Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Latin and electronic music. This year's unique line-up includes Roy Ayers, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chucho Valdés, Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Aymée Nuviola and Mark Guiliana's Beat Music. Winner of six Grammy and three Latin Grammy Awards, the Cuban pianist, composer and arranger Chucho Valdés is the most influential figure in modern Afro-Cuban Jazz. In a rich career spanning sixty years, Chucho has pushed boundaries in pursuit of new expressions in Afro-Cuban music. His influence in the genre is immeasurable, his work establishing the standard by which younger generations set our to create their own.

Part classical, part avant-garde, part flamenco, the legendary piano duo Katia and Marielle Labeque are impossible to label. The Labeque Way follows these unique artists as they trace their Basque roots, playing Ravel´s Bolero with traditional Basque percussion, premiering a daring new concerto 'Nazareno' which they had commissioned, and participating in diverse artistic and personal adventures. One of the world's finest and most-respected conductors, Claudio Abbado was legendary in stature, having held the post of musical director with La Scala in Milan from 1968 to 1986, with the Vienna Opera from 1986 to 1991, and the Berlin Philharmonic from 1989 to 2002. A strong advocate of the development of young musical talent, he was instrumental in the foundation of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. After a serious illness, he began the final phase of his career: founding the new Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Filmmaker Paul Smaczny followed his career over the years, regularly filming and interviewing him. In this profile Abbado talks about his life and work, his conception of music, his favourite compositions. Never-before-seen interviews are combined with images of the conductor in rehearsal and in concert, interviews with friends and colleagues, and archival material. The resulting portrait presents this 'silent thinker' under a new and unexpected light.

ESPERANZA SPALDING - JAZZ A VIENNE 2012 Multi-instrumentalist and singer Esperanza Spalding had an eclectic musical upbringing. A graduate of Berklee University, the African American double bass player released her first album 'Junjo' in 2006, and 'Esperanza' in 2008. Her jazzy style, praised by the critics, acquired a larger following with 'Chamber Music Society' in 2010. She played on the stage of the 'Théâtre antique' in Vienne on 8 July 2012, in a sophisticated yet accessible performance.

Mezzo to francuska stacja telewizyjna skupiająca się na światowej muzyce klasycznej, jazzie i tańcu. Promowana hasłem „Muzyka dla Twoich oczu”, łączy w sobie wrażenia płynące z doskonałego brzmienia i oglądanych występów. Mezzo przenosi widzów do najbardziej prestiżowych sal koncertowych, na deski scen operowych i baletowych oraz w świat znakomitych festiwali muzycznych. W ramówce kanału znajdują się zarówno krótkie klipy, jak i pełnometrażowe przedstawienia prezentujące twórczość legendarnych artystów i nowo odkrytych talentów. Pasmo uzupełniane jest muzycznymi programami i filmami dokumentalnymi. Telewizja Mezzo nadaje swój program przez całą dobę, siedem dni w tygodniu.
Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach. Przeplatane są programem muzycznym „ InterMezzo ”.
