Richard Galliano, Anniversary Concert Richard Galliano (accordeon) Richard Galliano has enchanted stages all over the world for fifty years. Accordionist, bandoneonist, composer, Richard Galliano, multifaceted musician, tireless worker always in search of new inspiration, tirelessly rewrites the history of the accordion. This is how he invents the concept of 'New Musette', revealing to the musical world the unprecedented and daring image of a revived accordion, between waltzes musettes, jazz and tango, blues and Brazilian music. The meetings with Chet Baker, Charlie Haden, Ron Carter, Michel Portal and so many others confirm his musical eclecticism. But Richard Galliano does not stop there. Passionate about classical music from an early age, he happily explores and interprets the works of Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach; in constant search of harmony and musicality, he even broadens his repertoire to film music by adapting the work of Nino Rota. He is also the only accordionist who records for the prestigious German record label Deutsche Grammophon. During this accordion recital, given on the occasion of this anniversary, he will perform works by Debussy, Satie, Chopin, Granados, Michel Legrand, Astor Piazzolla and of course, his own compositions. One of the world's finest and most-respected conductors, Claudio Abbado was legendary in stature, having held the post of musical director with La Scala in Milan from 1968 to 1986, with the Vienna Opera from 1986 to 1991, and the Berlin Philharmonic from 1989 to 2002. A strong advocate of the development of young musical talent, he was instrumental in the foundation of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. After a serious illness, he began the final phase of his career: founding the new Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Filmmaker Paul Smaczny followed his career over the years, regularly filming and interviewing him. In this profile Abbado talks about his life and work, his conception of music, his favourite compositions. Never-before-seen interviews are combined with images of the conductor in rehearsal and in concert, interviews with friends and colleagues, and archival material. The resulting portrait presents this 'silent thinker' under a new and unexpected light.

Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach.
