Born in the United States, Madeleine Peyroux is a jazz singer and guitarist with an unclassifiable style and an exceptional artistic personality, carried by a voice that is both soft and husky, with blues and folk accents. After spending part of her childhood in the United States, she moved to France as a teenager where she joined her first jazz bands. An atypical artist, she performs a lot in the street while participating in festivals and creating her own albums. In 2004, she had an international success with Careless Love. Other albums have been released since, including the recent Anthem (2018), the title of which is taken from a Leonard Cohen song.

The Sound Weavers: Ludovico Einaudi, Hauschka, Joep Beving, Hania Rani Sold-out concerts, millions of albums sold to make the classical music industry green with envy: neoclassical, as the new musical trend is called, is a mega hit. What makes the form so popular? Is this music skillful or just comforting? Are its composers Mozart 2.0 or rather maestros for the masses? Do they build a bridge to the musical past, allowing our ears to roam comfortably in familiar territory? The documentary traces the journey of some of the protagonists of the genre by telling their stories, and seeking answers from sociologists, neuroscientists, musicologists and even marketing experts. The spontaneous joy of his Broadway hits, the bold, spiritual quest of his orchestral works, his intensity and vitality as conductor, made Bernstein one of the central figures in twentieth century music. Never before has there been such a personal portrait of Bernstein told through his own words. It brings a renewed appreciation of this gifted man and his far-reaching influence. 'Leonard Bernstein Reflections' takes viewers from the Leonard Bernstein Festival in Israel in 1977 to the stage of his famous debut at Carnegie Hall in New York and into the privacy of his home and studio. Honest and intimate, Bernstein himself reveals stories never heard before about his childhood and early years in Boston, his musical growth at Harvard and at the Curtis Institute, and the influence of great masters like Reiner, Mitropoulos, and Koussevitsky. Bernstein's eloquence and charm have marked his television appearances and are powerfully evident in this documentary: from the pioneering Omnibus programmes of the 1950s, and the CBS Young People's Concerts, to the provocative Norton lectures delivered at Harvard in the 1970s.

Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach. Przeplatane są programem muzycznym „ InterMezzo ”.
