ESPERANZA SPALDING - JAZZ A VIENNE 2012 Multi-instrumentalist and singer Esperanza Spalding had an eclectic musical upbringing. A graduate of Berklee University, the African American double bass player released her first album 'Junjo' in 2006, and 'Esperanza' in 2008. Her jazzy style, praised by the critics, acquired a larger following with 'Chamber Music Society' in 2010. She played on the stage of the 'Théâtre antique' in Vienne on 8 July 2012, in a sophisticated yet accessible performance.

Mark Guiliana Beat Music Bayfront Jazz Festival 2021 Miami, 2021 Directed by Amos Rozenberg The 2021 inaugural edition of the Bayfront Jazz Festival takes place in Miami's Bayfront Park. The festival's mission is to honor and celebrate the current and future giants of Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Latin and electronic music. This year's unique line-up includes Roy Ayers, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chucho Valdés, Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Aymée Nuviola and Mark Guiliana's Beat Music. Mark Guiliana is an acclaimed drummer, composer, educator, producer and founder of Beat Music Productions; throuh which, he will release both My Life Starts Now and Beat Music: The Los Angeles Improvisations as a bandleader later this year.

A student of Darius Milhaud and Luciano Berio, musician Steve Reich (born 1936) quickly developed a style all his own inspired by Baroque music, Bartók, Webern and Stravinsky, as well as jazz, traditional music (especially African), and Hebrew cantillation. As a trailblazing exponent of minimalist music, Reich rejected the characteristic complexity of mid-20th-century classical harmony and tonality in order to make large-scale works from minimal materials a single chord, a brief musical motif, a spoken exclamation - thereby reconciling classical and popular music. In this profile he looks back on the key stages of his 40-years lasting career, from the formation of his own group, Steve Reich and Musicians, to the American avant-garde he helped to create, from new video performances to his quasi-religious music. Despite his success and wide recognition Steve Reich has never renounced his independent spirit. This film is about the artist and his music. From the analogue tapes of his first recorded pieces to current technology of sampling and video. We see him at work and clips from his performances and concerts in Le Havre, Tokyo, Rome, New York and Manchester.

Born in the United States, Madeleine Peyroux is a jazz singer and guitarist with an unclassifiable style and an exceptional artistic personality, carried by a voice that is both soft and husky, with blues and folk accents. After spending part of her childhood in the United States, she moved to France as a teenager where she joined her first jazz bands. An atypical artist, she performs a lot in the street while participating in festivals and creating her own albums. In 2004, she had an international success with Careless Love. Other albums have been released since, including the recent Anthem (2018), the title of which is taken from a Leonard Cohen song.

Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach.
