Revisor Crystal Pite (choreography) Kidd Pivot (dance company) Directed by Jeff Tudor Recorded at the Sadler's Wells, London Neither simply dance or traditional theatre, but an exciting and exhilarating new form that transcends either genre. Revisor is performed by 10 incredible dancers of Pite's company Kidd Pivot, to a soundtrack recorded by 9 voice actors. The dancers lip sync to the actors' words in Pite's trademark fluid, expressive and witty style. Revisor is based on a Russian anecdote about mistaken identity that surfaced in 1833, and quickly spread. It is now widely accepted as probably true. In 1836, the story took shape in a five-act play: The Government Inspector (Revisor) by Nikolai Gogol. The play premiered in St. Petersburg before the Czar who, according to reports, laughed and applauded, and is said to have remarked 'Everybody gets it, and I most of all!' The play was in disguise as a comedy. Ten dancers embody the recorded dialogue of some of Canada's finest actors, exploring conflict, comedy and corruption in the potent relationship between language and the body. Revisor reunites the creators of the international stage hit Betroffenheit (winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production 2017) with director Jeff Tudor, who won the Rose d'Or (Arts) and Golden Prague Awards 2018 for his capture of Betroffenheit for the BBC.

Jokers Vincent Peirani: accordion, accordina Federico Casagrande: guitar Ziv Ravitz: drums After many collaborations in duo (with Émile Parisien, Michel Portal, Michael Wollny, François Salque) or within his quintet, Living Being, Vincent Peirani wanted to embark on another form of orchestration, that of the trio. With the Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande, who has been living in Paris for many years, and Ziv Ravitz, an Israeli drummer who lives in New York, he forms a hybrid trio, guitar, drums, accordion, in which each musician can take the place of another, to become, by turns, a soloist, a rhythmist, a colourist, and so on. This cosmopolitan formula explores all kinds of music: enigmatic, oneiric, electronic, explosive, colourful, even silent. Everything is permitted and left to the free will of each of the three protagonists. Like the Joker - not so much the fictional super-villain of American comic books as the playing card found in most card decks (the Joker can replace any other card and also be the highest trump) - all three of them have an equal and at the same time complementary role, and they are sometimes in opposition, unpredictable... It's a real musical fireworks display on July 14: the festive celebration of Afro-Cuban music by Chucho Valdés and Archie Shepp. Master of the piano (the Cuban Mozart according to some) marked by the joint influences of Art Tatum, Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner, Chucho Valdés was in the 1970s the leader of the group Irakere within which he innovated by incorporating Afro-Cuban rhythms sacred bata drums in Cuban popular music. 74 Printemps, always green, superbly lyrical, Archie Shepp initiated this rare encounter. Mezzo to francuska stacja telewizyjna skupiająca się na światowej muzyce klasycznej, jazzie i tańcu. Promowana hasłem „Muzyka dla Twoich oczu”, łączy w sobie wrażenia płynące z doskonałego brzmienia i oglądanych występów. Mezzo przenosi widzów do najbardziej prestiżowych sal koncertowych, na deski scen operowych i baletowych oraz w świat znakomitych festiwali muzycznych. W ramówce kanału znajdują się zarówno krótkie klipy, jak i pełnometrażowe przedstawienia prezentujące twórczość legendarnych artystów i nowo odkrytych talentów. Pasmo uzupełniane jest muzycznymi programami i filmami dokumentalnymi. Telewizja Mezzo nadaje swój program przez całą dobę, siedem dni w tygodniu.
Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach. Przeplatane są programem muzycznym „ InterMezzo ”.
