'He has a very astonishing musical hunger,' says the immense pianist Martha Argerich of him. From the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence, of which he is one of the initiators, to a symphony within the walls of a Swiss prison, from the Menuhin Academy, where he passes on his knowledge to young prodigies, to a recording studio in Geneva, violinist and conductor Renaud Capuçon lives entirely for his art.

For more than six decades, Pierre Boulez has had greater influence on the development of contemporary music than anyone else. Already in younger days, he gained a reputation as a doughty champion of the avant-garde. With his compositions, interpretations, and ideas he indelibly shaped the international music scene - not only as a composer and conductor, but also as a music philosopher and teacher. The documentary 'Inheriting the Future of Music: Pierre Boulez and the Lucerne Festival Academy' is a homage to him on the occasion of his 85th birthday on 26 March 2010. For the past five summers, Pierre Boulez and highly gifted young musicians from all over the world have converged for intensive rehearsal weeks during which they learn from the maestro and one another, discuss and play selected compositions, and finally present subsequently the fruits of their labour in a number of outstanding concerts. To convey the fascination for contemporary music, the documentary captures the perspectives of Pierre Boulez and the young conductors, composers, and musicians involved. Their infectious enthusiasm gives viewers an emotional access to the world of new music. Accompanied with retrospective accounts, this endeavour narrates significant experiences and encounters in Boulez' career and gives a graphical depiction of the way he passes these experiences on to his current students. Consequently, this makes selected works by Stravinsky, Stockhausen, and Boulez more approachable. On a different level, it demonstrates how strongly personal experiences leave their mark on individual action, aesthetic sensitivity, and our perception of others.

Neither simply dance or traditional theatre, but an exciting and exhilarating new form that transcends either genre. Revisor is performed by 10 incredible dancers of PiteUs company Kidd Pivot, to a soundtrack recorded by 9 voice actors. The dancers lip sync to the actorsU words in PiteUs trademark fluid, expressive and witty style. Revisor is based on a Russian anecdote about mistaken identity that surfaced in 1833, and quickly spread. It is now widely accepted as probably true. In 1836, the story took shape in a five-act play: The Government Inspector (Revisor) by Nikolai Gogol. The play premiered in St. Petersburg before the Czar who, according to reports, laughed and applauded, and is said to have remarked 'Everybody gets it, and I most of all!' The play was in disguise as a comedy. Ten dancers embody the recorded dialogue of some of CanadaUs finest actors, exploring conflict, comedy and corruption in the potent relationship between language and the body. Revisor reunites the creators of the international stage hit Betroffenheit (winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production 2017) with director Jeff Tudor, who won the Rose dUOr (Arts) and Golden Prague Awards 2018 for his capture of Betroffenheit for the BBC. One of the world's finest and most-respected conductors, Claudio Abbado was legendary in stature, having held the post of musical director with La Scala in Milan from 1968 to 1986, with the Vienna Opera from 1986 to 1991, and the Berlin Philharmonic from 1989 to 2002. A strong advocate of the development of young musical talent, he was instrumental in the foundation of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. After a serious illness, he began the final phase of his career: founding the new Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Filmmaker Paul Smaczny followed his career over the years, regularly filming and interviewing him. In this profile Abbado talks about his life and work, his conception of music, his favourite compositions. Never-before-seen interviews are combined with images of the conductor in rehearsal and in concert, interviews with friends and colleagues, and archival material. The resulting portrait presents this 'silent thinker' under a new and unexpected light.

Pedrito Martinez Live at the Banlieues Bleues 2017 Pedrito Martinez, voice, percussions Edgar Pantoja-Aleman, voice, keyboards Alvaro Benavides, voice, bass Jhair Sala, voice, bongos The most popular Cuban percussionist in New York brings a fresh new take on latin jazz. For a long time, this drummer-and-singer, brought up on Batá drums and the Santeria cult in Havana, was an ardent sideman with Bruce Springsteen, Meshell Ndegeocello and Sting. The following years in residence at a Manhattan restaurant made him the charismatic leader of a fusion quartet. Deeply attached to the Afro-cuban dance and Yoruba prayers of his youth, Pedrito Martinez fuses them with the soul, pop and rock sounds of New York. A heady Afro-cuban mix. Recorded on 2017, march 15th as part of the 'Banlieues Bleues', Clichy-sous-bois TV Director, Stéphane Sinde
