The guest singer, Célia Kaméni, does not attempt either to compete with or to imitate, that would be impossible anyway, the first lady of song gets to grips with her world in order to sing it better. And it works perfectly, and it has to be said that the orchestra is absolutely irreproachable with its waves of intensity, its stresses, an expressive clarity which gives it a very lare range of expression. It's all there, the phrasing, the accents, the rhythm, the groove, the drive this swing, this je ne sais quoi between individual liberty and collective happiness, put simply..Jazz! A documentary with extraordinary and previously unpublished material about the 'world's foremost composer of tango music' - Astor Piazzolla. The Argentine bandoneon player and composer Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) revolutionized the tango. His tango nuevo, with its jazz and classical influences, made him a controversial figure in his own country, as his revolution clashed with tradition. Astor received his first bandoneon from his father when he was nine. Twenty years later, he had reached the limits of tango. In search of his own style, he went to study piano composition in Paris in the early 1950s. There he realized that in spite of everything, he was still a tanguero. A multifaceted career was to follow, chiefly in Europe and the United States. For this documentary, PiazzollaUs son Daniel drew on his private collection. Unique footage of numerous performances and intimate family films combine with archive material to paint a vivid portrait of Piazzolla: self-assured, obstinate, passionate and a true virtuoso. DanielUs commentary reveals a complicated relationship with his father. The tapes of hours of conversations between Piazzolla and his daughter Diana provide a rare insight into the mind of a musical genius.

In 2013, he launched his seventh album Tierra, surrounded by outstanding musicians, such as the members of Dire Straits and the British Celtic music group Capercaillie. Vicente Amigo, considered one of the most remarkable and virtuous performers of his generation, began a tireless quest for the aesthetic and sonic possibilities of the flamenco guitar. Performing on all stages of the world with a majestic and impeccable technique, his music captures all audiences. His musicians, singers and dancers support him in a spectacular flamenco show. From his first disc De mi corazon al aire in 1991 (recognized by the 'Icaro' and 'El Ojo Critico' awards) until the next two, Vivencias Imaginadas (1995) and Poeta (1997), the awards have followed one another, as opportunities to play with great musicians such as John Mc Laughlin, David Bowie, Stanley Jordan, Milton Nascimiento, Joao Bosco, Phil Manzanera, Paco de Lucia, Camaron de la Isla, among others. In 1991, Vicente Amigo also shared with Paco de Lucia the flamenco performance at the international festival 'Legends of the Guitar'. His performances all over the world are always a great success in front of an audience that follows him, fascinated by his incredible talent and by his daring research that he carries out with an always surprising naturalness.

Mezzo to francuska stacja telewizyjna skupiająca się na światowej muzyce klasycznej, jazzie i tańcu. Promowana hasłem „Muzyka dla Twoich oczu”, łączy w sobie wrażenia płynące z doskonałego brzmienia i oglądanych występów. Mezzo przenosi widzów do najbardziej prestiżowych sal koncertowych, na deski scen operowych i baletowych oraz w świat znakomitych festiwali muzycznych. W ramówce kanału znajdują się zarówno krótkie klipy, jak i pełnometrażowe przedstawienia prezentujące twórczość legendarnych artystów i nowo odkrytych talentów. Historia telewizji Mezzo
Telewizja Mezzo została założona w 1992 roku przez francuską publiczną grupę mediową France Télévisions. Do roku 1998 nosiła nazwę France Supervision. W 2001 roku Mezzo połączyła się z francuskim kanałem muzycznym Muzzik, zachowując swoją nazwę. Logo stacji składa się z czerwonego napisu „mezzo” ze stylizowaną literą „m”. Siostrzaną stacją telewizji Mezzo jest Mezzo Live HD – kanał nadawany od kwietnia 2010 roku.
Oficjalna siedziba stacji znajduje się w Paryżu we Francji. Obecnym właścicielem jest francuska telewizja publiczna oraz francuska spółka mediowa Grupa Canal+. Aktualnie stacja dociera aż do blisko 60 milionowej widowni i jest dostępna w ponad 80 krajach na całym świecie – w tym w krajach Skandynawskich, w Portugalii, Rosji czy w Polsce.
Od samego początku telewizja Mezzo poświęcona była promocji muzyki klasycznej, jazzu i tańca wśród szerszej widowni. Zamysłem było dotarcie nie tylko do zaprawionych melomanów, ale także osób rozpoczynających przygodę z muzyką poważną. Oferta kanału składa się z programów w różnym formacie. Repertuar obejmuje różne gatunki i formy sztuki klasycznej – m.in. operę, balet, koncerty symfoniczne, jazzowe czy recitalie. Krótko- i pełnometrażowe występy nadawane są w blokach. Przeplatane są programem muzycznym „ InterMezzo ”.
